Pact Kenya builds the capacity of local people, organisations, networks and coalitions working in one or more of 4 strategic platforms that Pact Kenya believes are crucial to reducing poverty and to attaining sustainable development in Kenya. These platforms are in Democracy and Governance, Conflict and Peace, Environment and Natural Resource Management, and in Women’s Empowerment.

Pact Kenya builds capacity through grant management, organisational development, and through ‘tailor made’ capacity enhancement interventions targeted to help local organisations address the real and present challenges they face.  These are Pact Kenya’s core competencies and they are applied across all platforms and programmes according to need and context.

This includes addressing organisational governance and senior management, financial and administrative competence and systems, programme design, management and implementation, advocacy and resource mobilization.
